SummerSize

Summer sounds of katydids and bees
Sighing a summer’s breeze through the pines
A butterfly lights, a model for me
Summer sounds of katydids and bees
I sink to the ground to kneel on my knees
To know that this moment is briefly mine
Summer sounds of katydids and bees
Sighing a summer’s breeze through the pines

K...another great triolet.  Surely a sign I need to write another. Summer is surely fading, my sister...but I do indeed believe autumn has so much to hold for both of us!

Another beautiful triolet. Another please??
Thanks for sharing these, Karilea. I do believe
that I've found another form that I love.

I think what I love about the triolet form, is the repetition is spaced and the lines in between actually change the interpretation as an unfolding. This is a lovely example of just what I mean.

Let's send this one round again, shall we?

The triolet sings when done well.  I like that about triolets.  I should try one.  It's been awhile.
And a nice photo of a gold-banded skipper on blue vervain.
