In the heat of night...larvae morph
the eye of recycled hurricanes.....ya know
the silence before the gale that fits a season
a plumb drops down a well shaft for some reason

The backdrop on the plain is classic
the saga must have plagued the Jurassic
profound silence before the still night
calm breeze between shadowed leaves
on the other side migrations stir
not in any particular race
its the season of the...

They sip at river's edge..in company of those leaves
the crocodile floats by...rests under eaves
an approach of a season causes animals to stir
in the air a rustle becomes a defined whir
travel, voyage anywhere
where you go, they don't care

It's the season of the...
one becomes one with a larger group
for the newsreel this is hardly a scoup...
when it infests...it devests all sheaths
the croc grasps its victim head then feasts

Bear paws jostle a hive's patience still
must find a reson for this migratory will
but the bee wears gentler frills
this one buds wings as fish fry do gills

In the heat of the night
before summer storms wash away the blight
local farmers express yearly fright

It is the season of a pest
one of the plagues known best
out of the bible and one of ten
and flares across savannah lion dens
as fast as the wildebeest herds rush
erase the crops...it precedes a hush

A hush through the shaded leaves
quiet lies for prey under eaves
in the heat of the day followed by night
this is a modern plague... a locust blight

travel, voyage anywhere
where you go that migration does not care

Thought many things as I read you...
From the monsoons, to the overpopulation of cities, to the emotional restlessness of modern man...to locust...
The purpose of the journey is only known to the creator.  Enjoyed. TD

I enjoy going on these voyages with you! You're a great travelling companion. I can just rest and close my eyes, and you describe everything vividly for me!

Until next time,
EA

Hey Diamond,

each time I get back here, there's another edit to do like flare, not flair MARTIN how could you...you've launched a perspective that makes for more poetry...like the overpopulation/migration of mankind

EarthAngel...

fasten your seatbelt..I do my best
