I wait for your call day and night
Looking at the clock
Slowly, anticipating
Your sweet voice
So I dream when my
Phone doesn’t ring, of nights
Suddenly forgotten

Our life distant in my present
I scream nightmares
Calling me deep
Stuck hopelessly
Feeling forgotten

She once rubbed my head
And whispered in my ear
Marry me
But now alone I see
My passions folly
Has left me wanting

So I stay stuck
Like unread pages
Counting the minutes

But then dreaming again
Your hand in mine
The wind blows
Me kisses suddenly
Close, cupids point
Piercing my sleep
Fooling me

So I sit now
The night before
We talk, hoping
Waiting
Tirelessly
For the dream
That never comes

As frost said
The sweet pang
It cost me not to call
I stay vivid in my memory
Of our life u think too small
Devoid of aspiration

With no faith in me
I live constantly
In a state of oblivion

I want to read this poem
To you while you sleep
So you can hear me speak
And not listen

oh, that's quite an ending there
and what would you do if she did hear, and listen?

BTW, welcome to Passions, bigmike.

x8x_bigmike - how well these thoughts are known, to speak and not to listen of one. Never could figure it out...

the speak and not listen...its like...scared to be vulnerable about how i feel...and secondly not wanting to hurt her...even though she has hurt me deeply...im not sure why i feel like that...im still missing her i guess...
