A smile behind a veil
I know you will still be here.

I won't say a single word
But when you wake I'll know what to say,
I'll present you with the option
               of a kiss
                  or a rose
or maybe I'll look into your eyes and give you both
If I can watch you.

Radiance exudes from you
I am not whole without you

There are just three words
That can make all of these obsolete

Can I tell you?

While you are sleeping

If you can't say three, say one.... "Yes."

She will know.

Beautiful words. When you watch someone sleep. The lines of stress or anger or of life's emotions disappear into complete peace. The lines fade into a peaceful glow.
Keep those wonderous words of poetry a comin' and I'll keep reading.

And nice having a muse you don't have to choke things out of, eh?....so it doesn't come out as Dark....

Beautiful poem!  Glad you found your muse... Mine is starting to return.  I have always found it easier to write Dark poetry (especially during my depressing college years) but I'm trying to lighten up, so to speak.  Enjoy your work!

Thanks, Eor.  At least while I'm waiting for my muse to catch up with me, I'll have your poems to keep me going!

eor, this is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us.
You know, I have trouble understanding the Dark Poetry sometimes, but I had no trouble whatsoever understanding this poem. It is absolutely beautiful.
