My Grandmother's Psalm

Silken rays of the sun rain down
upon your face so sweetly calm.
Soft, gentle breezes whisper your name
as the autumn leaves echo your psalm.

The days have disappeared into years
and I have grown into a woman now;
Though just a girl when you left this world
I didn't realize the pain until now.

Taking for granted the days we spent
and the love you showered upon me.
Never once realizing some day it would end
and leave me with only your memory.

Gone are the days we used to share
and the ones we had yet to come;
like the three great-grand daughters I've given you
and now there's a great-great one.

Thinking back on that day
when we placed you in the earth;
wondering if God even realized
just what, to me, you were worth.

I try to go back and remember the days
even though all they ever bring is pain;
But it's the only way that I know how
to hold you close to my heart again.

So many things were left unsaid
and not expected from a young girl
But I want you to know "I love you grandma
and to me you were my world."

Quatro?  You encompassed nature in this...

and a whole heart-load of sentiment.  Hugs for this one...

She's smiling down upon her beloved grandaughter...

This prayerful poem went straight to Heaven.

Loving embraces to you both,
Earth Angel

it is a wide road that love gifts to us....through the many people who are not behind...but have moved perhaps ahead a little b/c they completed their energy in our space of time...one of our most significant reasons for being...the love of our family trees branching out, creating...
