Breathe
the whisper’s
urgency
plays cello on my skin;
my fingers gain fluidity,
following the note
I dance
behind the lidded eye,
cat eyes hiding
in mystique,
afraid
that he will find me out...
trying not to sigh.

Sigh
the chords’
vibrato
floods canyons in my soul;
I’m cleansed of trivialities,
shedding my false pride
I cry
from deep within my dreams,
childlike yearnings
from the nights,
screaming
silently hiding need...
trying not to drown.

Follow guide
the burst of lung,
surfacing my need
there is some serenity
in the water's play of light--
even dead eventually
float atop the tide...
say there is some hope for me,
embryonic
cling of vine,
tendrils of life’s gravity,
I am
in search of sky...

Throttle breath
clear like a child,
purify vision
softly releasing all hate,
mind the four quarters of earth--
passively open Heaven’s gate,
go dancing with death...
freely making decisions,
rule without fame,
believing
sheltering only my fate,
I am
in search of truth...

Awesomely written,  you both complemented
each other very well.  And the bookies
said it couldn't be done....WRONG!

AHA! Somehow I knew that this would happen.

Really, very nice indeed.

Popping in to say thanks to you all, and especially to icebox, for his patience and generosity. (I really WAS nervous about this one!)

You sir, are truly a gentleman and a gentle man. I thank you for tolerating the presence of a tse0tse fly for a day. I enjoyed working with you very much, and would love to duet again anytime.

Hugs to all, with my gratitude.

I don't care who wrote what...
what I DO care about
is that this appealed to me
very much!

This is so cool and so deeeeeeep...
I am so digging these duets...
I just cane from reading LP and LWs duet over in Poetic Haven and then find this
outstanding pairing of pens..

say there is some hope for me,

HOW COOL is that.!!

the imagery, personification and sybolism makes this haunting write...
Bravo you two.!!!

All I can feel is this distance between you and me.
I can say I love you but I can't make you believe me
because touching is believing.

what happened to "time restraints" oh well, I'm glad you two have gotten together, that was fantastic. I wish the capitan was here to read this, unfortunately you have him tied up in the attic

I said I'm going to buy a gun and start a war,
