An aura streams outside my window
a glow adjacent to the warmth that penetrates
coming closer in short breaths.

Condensation forms in the clouds
mysting droplets fall on my brow
reflecting diamonds and blue sapphires.

Soothed by a silken touch
lifting my face toward the sky
connecting the circle that separates us.

We are one in the glory, set in white gold
a luminous body dipping in cool water
a vision, held under the suns bright corona.

Our paradise with an ocean view
tearing down walls, the door left wide open
spying through glass.

Exposing our dreams
feather dusting the edges
a vase filled with wild flowers.

We lie sated and still
fashioned in pink pastels
risking the arch

~bending over a rainbow~

Lori,
Cool you can have the diamonds and I'll take the blue sapphires! But about that rainbow...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Thanks alot for reading Skyshine~

Yea yea, I know, a rainbow sounds so cliche.  It's about the vision, and a sight to behold.   Thanks Larry~

No, sorry. I was wondering if we had to share it!

For you...I would hand the pot of gold over in a second,
if only I could reach that far.

Lori, this is just the most beautiful poem.
You painted the picture so well, that my
mind's eye could see it so clearly...and
it is beautiful!!

very nice imagery... and some nice feelings in this...
Since you and Larry can't decide on the rainbow..you guys take the gems, I'll take the rainbow.. lol...and any pot of gold at the end..well, we can divide.

Nothing cliched at all in something this beautiful. *G* For while y'all argue over all the gems and gold... I'll take the poetry. *G*

Great stuff!

It reminded me of a summer in Monteray. Thank you.

A poem within a poem....I'm glad I decided this morning to go looking for things I'd missed == I missed a beauty.
