In the distance the thunder claps
The lightning lights up the dark sky
The clouds roll closer and closer
The wind starts to whip up

You can hear the rain pouring
In the distance
Slowing creeping to where you live

Now the thunder is right over your house
The lightning lights up your room
The wind makes the tree branches
Scrape against your window
The rain is pounding the ground
The storm has arrived

Now you drift off to sleep
As the storm rages outside

Cold hands means a warm heart
