Listening to every heart

0 posted 2003-05-08 12:26 PM

She Said............Hello

It was an incredible first word

a beginning
and a promise
blended into a breath
becoming a given pledge

the creation of paradise on earth

a coming home
a warmth
an opening
invitation to forever

the creation of paradise on earth

and like the sound of angels wings
like spirits of old welcoming new
a pronouncement of the heart
pressed soft to the ear of the receiver

the creation of paradise on earth

all she bestowed was the whisper of

eternal sun
a sanctuary for the soul
endless journeys into night
promises never to be forgotten

it was an incredible first word

showing what power one word can hold in the palm of its hand.
I love this.

When I first read this poem, I thought it was about a child's first words...

I surely missed the intended message...

It is so true though...

How many times have we not kept in touch with someone simply because, for whatever reason, we didn't have the courage to call them?

And as the years go by... the distance just gets longer and longer...

Yes... along with the words... "I Love You", "I'm  Sorry", and "I Believe In You"...

The simple word, "Hello"

Can be such a meaningful and powerful word...

Wonderful insight Sunshine!

Wonderful Poem!

Karilea,

In this writing, I think you speak of the first word you spoke to me here at PIP.  All your encouragement and lovely words since have been such an inspiration.  My reply to Richy's poem which describes the greatness of PIP was that this is where the beautiful people are...and you, my dear Karilea, will forever be the reigning queen.  You are she!

Thank you so much,
-Patricia

Even one hello from someone you've been missing can really bring out a smile from you.
What a wonderful moment.

This touced me so deeply you would not believe!
Once I said 'hello' into the receiver and it was someone I never ever thought I would ever hear or see....thirty-six years had gone by...and with that one 'hello' all my dreams, hopes, and prayers came true.
Thank you for this reminder....

Hello
It's been so long
Since I heard your sweet voice
Changed ? No, only different now
God, it's been a forever kind of day
Imagine, with just this hello
We've rolled the years away
Caused remember
Hello

Hmmmmm ! How's about that ... instant inspiration~
