Include me in grey places
Where purity of white
Is mixed with absolutes of black
To create the color
Cruel

I can laugh at myself
For dreaming
But can you curse me
For the same?

No palette should be bereft
The gracing blues and reds
Or even green to swipe across
The places brown

Yet,
When it is in black or white
We paint
Those shades have no place
To reside
No warmth to impart

I’ll paint you nude
Naked to match the feel
Of raw on umber dreams
But blur the lines
With shades of grey
So that no hard edged
Eyes will judge
You as ugly
As I

When I dared
To dream
A color
Now
Blue

Pat yourself on the back and kiss the mirror for me! That was brilliant!

A palette of color...
even though sometimes I think
you hug the gray...

brilliantly done, Sir...

Ron

Ouch..to create the color, cruel...I'm passing you my paint set...only you've got to paint one color at a time...when you mix them together they come out ugly.

Hugs!

Sud..my friend.. thank you kindly for the nice words..glad you enjoyed..

EA.. kissing mirrors is a cold affair.. I'd prefer something warmer and more alive..
but thank you for the nice words...

Nancy... now there is an invitation, should we finger paint or would you prefer a brush? LOL... thank you dear friend.

Sunshine.. thank you for the kind words.. the grey... ah well.. I perhaps am just comfortable there.

Martie.. (chuckling) I flunked all art classes... seems I always made ugly... thanks to you for dropping in and the words.

I liked your first verse especially,
not to mention that the color blue is
rather becoming on you cpat.

It is sad that our dreams are so short lived.

Be well~

LOL... Blues... I think blue suits me almost as well as grey... now whether it is becoming on me or not.. I'll let others judge.

thanks for dropping in my friend..and the words you left.

Ron,

For being such a lousy painter as you state in replies, you sure do know a lot about colors.

This is by far one of my favorites of yours.... at least for today...

I really, really do like this.

Hugs, Pat

Charisma... glad you enjoyed..and thank you for not only dropping y to read but taking time to comment.. it is appreciated.

Pat... LOL.. I am a lousy painter.. and a lousy artist. I can't even draw good stick figures.
as for colors... they are all around us, you don't have to paint to see them and in some way no matter how small understand them..

thanks for taking the time to read..and leave your thoughts.

You know,
There is much to be said in the gray of black and white.
An enchanting piece, to read again, many times. Liked this. TD

TD... thank you ma'am... if it gave pleasure once it is enough but to be read again or looked at some day not yet here and enjoyed is perhaps the highest honor any of us could hope for..

===============================

*speechless moth* ....

somebody play me a song ....
There's not enough of me well, there's way too much of you
I think I saw some happy people yesterday and that'll never do

There's never too much violence, ain't it time we had a war
These are violent times, and I only want to do my part
To sink to hatreds depths, and smile at what we've all become

Chorus:
I need understanding, just a pack or two
To help me with my troubles, and what to do's
I don't feel no raging, there ain't nothing new
Drop me in the ocean, and paint me blue
