I had a dream that pierced like iron-red
roared when the anvil, struck
and sunk deep the cloud

From high above I could see
drops fall and begin to soak the ground
above my love that felt like fire
consumed me devoured
till flesh and bone alone were hers

Here i'll stand forever
until the rains quench all desire
and the flood, the rising flood
grows to meet the lonely
my one
my only
fire

A friend of mine describes this as the mother of all trucks...
He isn't a poet, but should be.
Understood the melody lifting this write, and enjoyed. TD
