Point your finger, then, at me.
But notice how the others curl.
Four more pointing back at you
accusations in return.

"Turn the other cheek" he said.
(But how does that renew the trust?)
It doesn't. No, it never does.
Sometimes we must just wash the dust

knowing we were not received.
A flogging of hypocrisy
Here. If you enjoy a bleed?
Just watch and I'll fulfill the need
of this unbecoming lust--
tears do not remove the rust.

I offer, in humility,
the shame of my humanity.
If you find that not enough?
Judge ye not, lest ye be judged.

There is no final word to this.
Christ himself--betrayed by kiss--
knew the power of our words
returns, returns, until we learn...

the bitters of our self-filled cup--
and no place left to go but up...

Truly spoken and well composed.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Serenity,

Just a minor detail, but how about "three" fingers pointing in return.  Your poem made me point for a better overall experience of your description, and lo and behold, only three were pointing back... unless you are double jointed and have one funky thumb!

playfully,

Stephen

I know, Karen.

Some don't know, though, do they?

I keep returning to this
myself
3 times now
and learn I must

you bleed on these pages
  (purple rage)

I want to hug you

It seems to me,
that lately,
you have a new geography

Your writing comes
from a different local
A place where the language
understands.....us

Damn witch! you get even better at this.

And you don't even know it.

(we do)

well it would seem that this describes the very lowest that we can go, when there is only one direction left to go...but I must be a skipping stone for I keep hitting bottom over and over....oh lady, do I ever know this....hugs

Such powerfully written pain... along with the knowing that some things are out of our hands. *S* You just get better and better. *S*

still though, sometimes, we have to take a big drink from that cup. . .and just spit it back out at who's holding it from the other end. . .

well done. . .
