~* Three Generations *~

My beautiful young grandchild
I hope you‘ll never know
How it breaks my heart
To watch how quickly you grow.

All too soon you’ll be grown up,
A family of your own,
Perhaps you’ll wonder like me,
Where the years have flown.

The past, present and future
One day will be all intertwined,
My mother, your mother,
In your reflection you’ll find.

When you look into the mirror,
Three generations have shared,
I wonder if you too will cherish,
Each mother who has cared?

Ah, thank you Carol and Noah, and I was just getting sentimental tonight looking at pictures and seeing how fast they can grow in just one year.  You sure have to love them as much as you can every single day don't you?  Thanks again for reading this.

How beautiful and now true
mother, grand, child, and you...
how swiftly are the days that fly,
how quickly forms this tear in eye...

Oh my goodness,
but you are
an inspiration
today...

Dear Sharon this is very beautiful ... and the picture so well matched!
The circle of life ....always in motion. And watching and being aware of the speed ... makes us wonder yes ...
Much love, Margherita

Sharon,
How could she not. A rose, is a rose, is a rose. That's three. Your poem was excellent.

That was so incredibly beautiful. This is a poem that most assuredly will be treasured forevermore by Tori--and her children and her children's children and...

Warm hugs to a loving grandmother,

You all have made me so wonderfully sad, if that makes sense.  I now know that my Mom, and her Mom must have felt this same way and so will she and her daughter.

The circle of life is amazing is it not?  Thank you so much one and all.

How can she help but cherish those who gave their love so generously? *S*

This gives an extra tug at my heart, for just this morning, I was looking at my nephew's baby pictures and thinking that in less than 3 weeks, graduation pictures will be joining them... they do grow so quickly! *S*
