I am offered a heart
Giftwrapped in barbed wire
The more our souls intertwine
The more I bleed

Pursueing pleasure and pain
I am cursed to enraptured misery
Entranced by a mirror
I see her soul

A pure, beautifully twisted spirit
Cloaked in enticing darkness
Having known agony would result...
Why do I question the turmoil?

So I ride the waves of ecstasy
Eagerly anticipating heartache
Maybe masochistic... definitely me
I hand her my heart and a silver stake

. . . all that we see is but a dream within a dream  . . .

Oh gosh...you too.  Just been through a similar thing.  I let him go in the physical...told him I couldn't see him anymore, but my heart holds on to the dreams of what could have been.  It is getting better each day, but I have my moments. For example, the tears fell again today when I was listening to a song in my car.  Know this, my friend, I know the pain you brought forth in your words.

dreambuilder, if she hasn't already
drove a stake through the heart
you've given to her, I hope she
doesn't. You know we women are
unpredictable sometimes....she
could very well fool you....
Best wishes to you.
Hugs,
Ethel
