Photo "Seven Hearts" by Jim Warren

~~~~~
Our hearts
Eternal bond
Together for always
Even when apart in distance
Our hearts seem to beat with the same rhythm
With our love and joy felt in them
In sync with each other
We, together
Our hearts
Forever love
We are in unity
Sharing unconditional love
We have a special love between us two
Giving great strength to each other
Our closeness grows daily
As we both share
Our hearts
~~~~~

Oh Marge...that was absolutely beautiful. You
are a master at doing these. I want to learn how
to rhyme them, too. I believe this is my favorite
form of poetry, except for rhyming. So, if I can learn
to do them together, I'll certainly be a happy writer!
Oh, yes, they are so much fun to do. I really enjoy
doing them.

Oh, is that the proper name for them? I knew they
weren't called a "double rictameter", but I didn't know the name.

Yep, I do think that Vicky owes you one. I haven't seen one from Vicky
like the one you did for her yesterday, either. I love that
one, too.

Heart Hugs,
Ethel

Hi Chris
Thank you for your sweet reply. There is a lot to learn about poetry, isn't there? It's so much fun trying to learn to write the different forms, isn't it? Oh, and these rictameters are really easy to learn. You should try them. I think you'll like writing these. This is the syllable count with 9 lines...
first line.....2
second line....4
third line.....6
fourth line....8
fifth line.....10
sixth line.....8
seventh line...6
eighth line....4
ninth line.....2
The first line and the ninth line are the same two syllables. If there are anymore technicalities to a rictameter, I don't know them. I'm trying now to learn to rhyme them. I'll be looking for yours.
Hugs,
Ethel

Ethel~
Oh gosh no ... I only called that one a Cinco-Metered one because I used 5 verses strung together~

Lets see -
Rictameter
Twosie-meter
Tres-meter
Quatro-meter
Cinco-meter

Ladedadeedah ... so forth and so on !
Tee-Hee-Hee .... I take 'poetic license' and call 'em whatever boots my fancy~

AND our Vicky is *GIDDY* right now ... but she LOVES (Tee-Hee) a challenge ... soooooooo, I may have to make this an 'official' challenge for her.

I'm a 'rhymer' at heart ... but have to break pattern sometimes to learn something new.  (Don't tell Balladeer I said that !)
He's kinda 'partial' to the rhyme !

BUT ... did you check out her 'Mono-rhymed Acrostic' ????  Koolers that gal !!!

Hey Marge,
I checked out Vicky's "Mono-rhymed Acrostic"
again. I know that I read it when she first
posted it, but for some reason didn't reply.
Anyway, I did reply and bumped it back up here.

Man, she's good, isn't she? Those things are
really hard. I just haven't got them right yet.
I tried one of them with the rhyme and have
only written half of it.

I'll be looking for her to meet your
challenge on the rictameter.
Hugs,
Ethel
