my dangling
body and soul

     hung out
      to drip dry
       in solar winds

stardusted...
vapor trails...

thoughts left up
  floating endlessly
   aimlessly
    in life's jetstream

dangling
strangling

your thin airspace
  leaves me gasping

        begging for
         more...

my dangling
body and soul
awaits

the breath of
you

Thanks, Sunshine!
I think I'll dangle in the blue as long as possible today, to start the month out on a passionate note.

very well done...

i like the visually spaced poem, that reads like a painting... the mood moving with the flow of the words.

With 'breaking news' in the background, this reads quite eerily this morning.

OMG. not again. My heart is aching. I had no idea, had not been listening to news this morning.
For those who may not have heard yet, the space shuttle 'Columbia' is down, apparently disintegrated over Texas this morning, 16 minutes before the scheduled landing.

I just realized that I had written and posted this only one hour before this tragedy happened. I am on Mountain time, Texas is central time. Pips must be the next time zone over.

..almost as if you knew--quite beautiful and somewhat haunting, considering the circumstances--enjoyed!

Sandpiper, thank you for reading and for your reply to this one. I sat and stared at this blue screen when I heard the news report, and chills and tears overwhelmed me. This was not a poem I had worked on or even thought about, it was one that just came to me 'out of the blue' Saturday morning, gifted by my mysterious muse.

The form of works nicely to add to a visual impact to make your statement. That is something I think I'll be working on in the future as well. Enjoyed much, and yep, ya got me to thinkin'!

Careful Karen, there are only 24 hours to each day, so you'll be on double overtime for sure!

Thanks for the great feedback.

Oh, God... how breathtakingly beautiful.  I felt that solar wind.  This is amazing; the art you paint is so incredibly rich in meaning to me... thank you for words so beautiful that I can barely respond with words passionate enough to describe how beautiful this is.

Thank you...
