Coloring
outside of lines
Bleeding
across conservative borders
in the name of artistic lisence
Forgetting
to live within those lines
Trespassing affection
soils
the virgin canvas

Lost
in the beauty
of distorted faces drawn by children
no-neck bodies
circle hands with three bulbous fingers
Wandering
into a make-believe world
devoid of truth
Forgetting
to bring her reality

Her garage
a grey concrete desert
thirsting for color
A vanilla wall
hungers
for chocolate syrup
or interior eggshell
Behind the wall
a man
unseen
waits to be fed

.

so many good lines...
"Trespassing affection
soils
the virgin canvas" and the childrens cartoonish drawings...
I enjoyed the read
