Conundrum

It’s a perplexity,
a puzzle
against which
life seems to nuzzle.

A difficulty
a quandary,
like missing socks
in the laundry.

An enigma,
a riddle,
no rhyme
to play my fiddle.

A paradox,
a confusion,
a mystery
of delusion.

An obstacle
to a question;
a dilemma
with indigestion.

Yep, a conundrum
is a problem
where we’re hard-pressed
to solve ‘em.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Smiling here. I always lose my socks. Is there a sock-mate out there?

The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears.
