strands of red lights drape across my optics
whether this is a warning
or an invitation to crouch lower than usual
will be settled in about 4 drinks from now
until then lets simmer in the glory of unrequited hope
it inevitably grows dimmer,
like 3:30 in the morning candlelit opium sessions
I wait for a phone call, for a change of direction
for sense to interlope with resolution
the clock crawls
like a minimum wage whore
arent we all
beginning to feel the effects?
the heat pipes sweat paint
tequila falls from my pores like dewdrops
I type to pass the time
I type to draw logic from the absurd episodes
that I star in
I try to draw logic from a pipe
and choke on the dharma
