Lost in thought

I’m not really alive right now.
    Usually
         I am.
But, see, I’ve bowed
Down a bit too much
To the pain that haunts
With every touch.

Right now,
    Just for a
      Moment;
I’m indulging myself advently
To remembrance of the pain
And the inexplicable
    Grief.

I feel no shame;
Though I see your eyes..
As I hide all my tears
  While
    Briefly
      Glancing.

I can pick myself up
As I struggle to move.
I can defeat all the trials;
  Become
    Someone
      New.

But right now I’m content
(I know what it means.)
Just living by
    Faith.
And
    Pretending
      To dream.

I think I’ll go pretend again.
Reality just became too real.
And I’d like surrealism
To consume me once again.
    It Just
      Hurts
         So much
            To move.

(sorry, The Christmas really got me to a missing of someone, and my head and joints are really acting up.. so you've all gotta hear about it.)

Why apologize for something like this? I think this is absolutely wonderful. More than wonderful, really. I'm sorry to hear that you're missing somone, and I hope the missing ends soon. Perhaps what you need is a band-aid for the heart? This is a beautiful read, and I look foreward to more of the same.

I use to do this way too much, but sometimes thats the only way you can go through the motions of life.  I am here to tell you it can get better though *S*.

I know this is probably not the place to discuss this....but, I was just curious if you might have fibermalgia?  Aching of muscles & joints....I Know it can be very painful. I know of a few things that are helpful for this. I am truely sorry for your pain, and hope it passes soon.

Thank you each for your replies..
such kindness shown, what great people you all are!
Darkling, I'm thankful to feel I don't need to apologize
And Ethel, yes, certainly from the heart, I write it to get it outta there!
I hope that the new Year brings much hope and blessing to you each!

and as for the fibromyalgia ..thats not what it is, they've checked. Actually, if you've ever had one of those really severe migraines where you can't move or stand and can't eat cause you keep nothing down..
Well, I've got that constantly and its spread, somehow, to my muscles over my body.. the doctors aren't sure whats up.
But then I'm not sure how much of that you wanted to hear, babbling again.
Anyway, thanks much for your concern and Take care!

keep faith
Always, Alyssa
