(Our sweet friend Linda put together a beautiful challenge that I encourage everyone to try, yay! You can find it here!  It has been one year since I almost left Passions because one poet attacked me verbally and I took it too hard on myself. Then, so many of you wonderful friends of mine taught me that there will be those who may not appreciate me but as long as I love myself and love my loved ones and respect those who may not understand me, that's all that matters, yay! )/pip/Forum7/HTML/000538.html I'm In Love With Me By: Noah Eaton 12/15/02 I'm not perfect as no one is perfect I don't look like an angel, that's for certain I've made my share of mistakes There are so many regrets that fixing is just too late Sometimes I think of my past and feel left out Feel like I'm heading for another breakdown But I know how special I am I won't give up, I'll offer my hand To all of you who look up to me I'm not crazy, I'm not narcissistic I'm just a little optimistic And forgive me if I sound slightly egotistic But frankly, I'm in love with me And happy of being me... Some may dislike me, some may not understand me But I won't let what they say sting me deeply I'll just respect what they have to say and turn the other cheek Wish them well and wish them peace For I know not everyone will wish to make amends But I know I have so many special friends Who I love and respect Because I know how special I am I won't give up, I'll offer my hand To all of you who look up to me I'm not crazy, I'm not narcissistic I'm just a little optimistic And forgive me if I sound slightly neurotic But frankly, I'm in love with me And happy of being me... I am one who only wishes to love everyone else I wish to devote myself to others who need my help I clean and serve food for everyone at the Denver Rescue Mission And always try and bring a smile to all the children And I will keep writing these words and strumming this acoustic guitar To make music for tomorrow and inspire others to wish upon a star Because I know how special I am I won't give up, I'll offer my hand To all of you who look up to me I'm not crazy, I'm not narcissistic I'm just a little optimistic And forgive me if I sound slightly ambiguous But frankly, I'm in love with me And happy of being me... I devote myself to the Lord, a Catholic holding onto faith I feel a presence lurking around me, that always makes me feel safe He is my advisor, who first taught me this grand virtue His hug is my tabernacle, His smile is my sky of blue I have an imaginery friend who always sits on my shoulder My Bluebird of Happiness, who mentors me and makes me feel prouder Because I know how special I am I won't give up, I'll offer my hand To all of you who look up to me I'm not crazy, I'm not narcissistic I'm just a little optimistic And forgive me if I sound slightly narrow-minded But frankly, I'm in love with me And happy of being me... I have a love, a love so angelic and beautiful Her name is Joanna, her smile and green-eyes are so magical Loving myself gave birth to a bed of flowers, an entire meadow As she is the butterfly that kisses all my flowers, making them all feel special I know she loves me because of who I am And I will never change, I want her to be happy and forever take her hand Because I know how special I am I won't give up, I'll offer my hand To all of you who look up to me I'm not crazy, I'm not narcissistic I'm just a little optimistic And forgive me if I sound slightly conceited But frankly, I'm in love with me And happy of being me... I just want to live, hang onto the spirit of that innocent boy Who always cried, now I want to return the favor and bring him joy I will follow my dreams, I'll be no victim of Pavlov's Bell I don't need Napiers bones to count my blessings, I know them by heart myself I encourage all of you to love yourself with honesty Don't ever get hard on yourself, for you are just as special as you can see Because I know how special you are So always look up to the stars I look up to you, I'll always send angel hugs And I know you're not crazy, you're not narcissistic You're certainly not nonsense And forgive me if I may sound ridiculous But I KNOW you're special For I am worthy I am deserving I am beautiful And I am meaningful I am honest I am prowess I am a survivor I'm humbled to be humble And you too, my friend, are blessed So fall in love with yourself Just as I'm in love with me... Noah, Noah, Noah....now who told you that you don't look like an angel??? You are absolutely right in this poem. You are a very good, compassionate, caring friend. You have many, many friends here and elsewhere, I'm sure. You're just that kind of person. You did scare me a little when you wrote about thinking of leaving before. I sure am glad that the loving friends here encouraged you to stay. Noah you are VERY SPECIAL, not only here, but everywhere else on this earth, too. Your heart is so big. I'm sure, too, that the folks at the Mission love you and look forward to seeing you there. (BTW, I'm going to try to meet Linda's challenge soon. Noah, my dear, Dear One, I literally have tears flowing from my eyes. When I have told you that I love you, I have truly meant it. Your gentleness, your kindness, your incredible God given talents make you very dear to me. We may not have met vis a vis, but our souls most assuredly have. Hello Noah I didn't think it possible for you to open up your heart anymore but you have proved me wrong. So much warmth and genuine kindness radiated from your lovely words and gave me a further insight into what I knew all along...........you are a very special person who is loved by so many. Here are a few little quotes I thought you might like, but I didn't write them. The best cure for an empty day or a longing heart is to find people who need you. Noah, I just want you to know that you are one of the sweetest, nicest guys I have ever met in my life. You are talented, cheerfull and have so many wonderfull abillities. I can not believe anyone would be cruel towards you. Noah, you are so right about letting people think what they want. Some people think I am weird "beans!!!" but that is their opinion. Your poem shows it. I can feel it inside of you. you have touched me as usual. Love yourself above everyone else. (don't let yourself become conceded though. What am I doing?
