I need the separation

   alone

the private

   of my thoughts

then shared over the phone
with miles in-between.

I mean

  just the air to widen

enough room to hide in.

A place for thoughts to string
together, I must sing, whatever
comes to mind. I need, I must find
that corner, small
         tiny
           yet
            mine

a place where I can shine.

Hi there, dear rose of white!

I can identify with this--I too, love my space and quiet time! I vascillate between being a social butterfly and a solitary recluse! It is during the quiet and private down times, that I get recharged and gather my thoughts! Anne, find that space and make it yours. I even drew a picture of a skull and crossbones and put it on my bedroom door!
"Beware! Enter at your own risk!" Fortunately, my good-natured family humored me and gave me my privacy at those times!

(sigh) Oh Anne, I believe it is a wonderful thing to be intraspective and know yourself, for it is not until we know and love ourselves that we can embrace others and have them understand and love us wholeheartedly!
