    White Dove

Someone took my Love away
on the wings of white dove--
Let me fly to yesterday
to the arms of my Love...
White dove coos her melody,
White dove hears my sorrow,
White dove broken, now your free,
Free to roam tomorrow.

White dove rests about my head,
Stays there come the evening--
Come to comfort from the dead,
Rise my soul from grieving...
White dove coos her melody,
White dove hears my sorrow,
White dove broken, now your free,
Free to roam tomorrow.

On the day my Lover died
on the hill Golgotha--
White dove flew from out His side,
Holy Maranatha...
White dove coos her melody,
White dove hears my sorrow,
White dove broken, now your free,
Free to roam tomorrow.

Thank you to both of you. This is actually a reposting of a poem I wrote some time ago. I am like you Joyce... couldn't write something new here, yet, because I'm still adjusting to the news of Rebecca's absence. Thanks again. -Bob

Beautifully touching, dear Bob. And the repetition of "White Dove" is like a pure white light flashing within the heart.
She knows...

I reposted this poem because Rebecca expressed that she really liked this poem and she also wrote that she missed me and I wrote back to her that I missed her too... and even though I know that she's in a much much better place, I really really miss her now. Thank you for your kind comments. I really do appreciate you gals. -Bob

Bob, I think we are all stuck for words right now so I even juut the title was soothing.  She admired you a lot as you know, and even toward the end in the hospital was telling her Mom of your struggle, and in that, giving herself more strength for one more day.  She was a sweetheart, no doubt about that.
