He or She?

I know He walked the earth as man
When He was God's own son.
It matters not if She or He
When all is said and done.

I suspect it makes no difference
In getting through that door.
That we're all equal in God's sight,
Just makes me love God more.

I believe that God is neither
If we could comprehend.
Love and Goodness has no gender,
So I'll just call God, Friend.

This is why I use the term God/dess.

The more I read of you, the more I like your undestanding of things. Smile...

Hugs, Joyce.

Enjoyed.

yes our true friend. Its strange to think God is in three forms, Jesus certainly was a man, but the Father and Holy Spirit can have no gender as they are spiritual beings not bound by the same physical standards we attribute. God is just everything true pure and holy. And my friend

(smiles) Yay! I too call the Holy Spirit my Best Friend because our Friend has a manly determination and strength but also feminine grace and beauty and so I feel both characteristics shine in our Best Friend! (kiss on cheek) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Joyce, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Joyce:  Clever treatment of this question! He/She is our Friend and that is the most important part.

Hi,
No I don't think that matters either.  Friend is a good name for the one who is our true friend.  Good point.  My redeemer lives, a song but I cannot remember who sings it. Friend, Savior, Redeemer, so many names, but friend means the most to me. My true friend.
A quote: "You have to be a friend to have a friend".  We are friends, we have a Friend.
Thanks,
In the Spirit, Whippoorwill

Thanks Joyce.  That was nice.  What matters is that we love him and follow the teachings in the bible.

This poem is Great!!! Though I refer to God as He, I know it's true, God could be She, so, yes, I think it ought to be exactly as you said. Good job..... Friend.
