If you draw close to God
In hard times
He will be by your side

If you draw close to God
God will become
Your best friend
And closest
Confidant

In the Bible at James 4:8 it says:
"If you draw close to God,
God will draw close to you."
This is so true
In times of sorrow

So draw close to God
And never
Ever
Take that personal relationship
With God
For granted

Cold hands means a warm heart

So heartfelt I know. What comforting poetry for all who are in need of comforting.... I've heard it said that you can't truly share what you haven't experienced yourself and that is what makes this poem so very special in my opinion. Because of what I've read and what you have shared with us in the past, this poem comes directly from your heart and your own personal experinece of what God did for you when in your humbleness drew near to Him. YAY!!! I'm so happy!!! Thanks for sharing this beautiful testimony.

For those of us like I who have stumbled far away from the grace of the Lord in the past and are now finally reaching up for his majestic truth and warmth, this poem is exactly what I need, a return to him. Being human I still fight many battles, but I know I can always reach for him and that will draw him closer to me.

(sigh) Yes, always embrace Him for He understands all your tears and fears and all you must do is ask and He will offer you love, mercy, and patience!
