* * * *

The seeds I planted earlier
Are now coming into fruition
I am the keenest of gardeners
And I'm so dedicated to my mission

I nurture my beautiful harvest
As I walk through rows of love
Today the sun is shining
Bringing light from up above

Hope is beginning to blossom
I watch it reach for the sky
As Spring turns into Summer
On silken wings it will fly

The vine of passion has many tendrils
Only for those lovers who dare
If you move in a little closer
It will trap you in its lair

The fragrance of desire
Will sweep you off your feet
Love's nectar flows like honey
With a taste so smooth and sweet

So won't you come and join me
In my love filled retreat
We'll savour all of this beauty
While resting on the garden seat

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Sue, this is just stunning. The gardener in me is so longing to dig and play with the hose. You be sure and continue to do it for me until Spring arrives again in New England.

The love of grdening makes everything bloom beautifully.

'... So won't you come and join me
In my love filled retreat
We'll savour all of this beauty
While resting on the garden seat ...'

You know how much I long to visit and daydream on the seat with you.

Hugs, Marti

Once again.. I enjoyed your poem a great deal. Thank you so much for sharing.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

Sue, this is wonderful. I re-read it and come up with more senses of love, of peace, of just plain ~goodness~
in every sense of the word.

Marge actually said it best.

Hugs to you,
and warm regards,
Pat
