Olde Cars

he seems to have a passion
for old, olde cars
the older the better
the older the deader

how do I know,
they dot the landscape for miles
behind stiles
in overgrown fields
and two are in garages
waiting to be healed

to buy a new car
me thinks he thinks it’s sin
cuz he keeps puttin’ up
with the fix they get him in

dollars here
dollars there
dollars spent
with great relent
yet on and on he goes

pouring money
like kool-aid,
for his old cars
an old band-aid.

then he comes to call
on all for one
and one for all
to help him
each time he stalls

and some of us
don’t learn
don’t learn
to find a “No,”
when “Yes” we spurn

VAS...I cannot relate well to old cars
stacked up around my place....but I do
very much relate to the NO versus the
spurned YES....toooooo well...

Thanks, Magnus...I'm out shopping for zeroes myself and turning them into #1's. Then I'm going to take a nap.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

(smiles) Oh Virginia, I agree, I think old cars are indeed amazing yet they are worthless to drive! LOL! This is wonderful, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
