type
rewrite

crumble
toss
who is the boss

hit the keys
backspace again please

I think this is what some call
no thoughts at all
my cranium bounces like a ball

brainstorm in the drain
can't even put my mind in the gutter again
think
think
did I take my zinc?

writers block
staring at the clock

tick tock
tick tock

what can I write
who will it be about
if something does not change
I swear I will pout

This was adorable. And forgive me, but  seeing a man *pout* just really does something for me.

Well, I enjoyed your scratching for ideas like a hen in the chicken yard. I hope you still have hair, there, where you've been digging for brain juices.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

There sat upon the lip of pout
a real pathetic rooster
not good for much until he'd shout
then acted like a booster!

His ideas didn't seem like much
to scratch for corn and all
but when the sun came up? he'd touch
that glowing magnificent ball

with his cock'a'doodlin'
his bravado seemed to peak!
so darlin'? if you're going to pout
make sure your rooster's tweaked!
