Listening to every heart

0 posted 2002-07-02 07:03 AM

Searching for the plane…..

In the shadow of purple summer's night
I sense your touch, feel breath light,
thus comes to me calming memory,
a love I hold so dear, closely…

it was a night, such as this
when I held fast to your last kiss
stroked your brow, held your hand
and felt my heart in pain expand…

this space so void, this chasm so black
only in memory do I have you back,
two crystal goblets of wine I pour,
to drink to your memory ever more…

and as I taste this wine, bitter sweet,
night's summer warmness is replete
gently into its blackness I fall
as I search for you in crimson pall

for although your body is not near mine
I feel you there … through space and time,
there, on a plane, a unknown mystery
where your love I long to hold to me…

this life's long pursuit to not be denied
to re-kindle love, again be entwined
I will search, tho tears make eyes blind
there, on a plane, transparent as time

now, you know that I knew that you weren't talking about planes that fly when I read the title of this. . .

and, it's no surprise that I see that you understand far more than think that you do. . . because it's all here. . .

well done my friend. . .

Perhaps on the next plain?

Nothing means more to me than faith,
family and my friends.
