"I can't believe you left me here."
What am I going to do with now?
I can't believe these humbled tears,
running past my nose to mouth.

I don't believe this silent weep.
I can't believe that I still hurt.
I crawled toward you in the sand--
oasis be a desert's curse.

A joy to find the green, in sand,
and water tromboned in my hand--
and fruit of tree to give me rest
with shade to let me sleep in bless.

A small of darkness under leaves--
a shadow of the sun's reprieve..

"I can't believe you left me here."
In the midst of my own fear.
The only wind is shift of sand.
Footprints fade as land, fills land.

Even paradise is lost--
as I measure miles of cost.
Days in strength of shadows cast
becoming curse of prison--blast

Even comfort is a chore,
as I view miles and miles
of more...

I tread the miles softly
grasping hand in hand
the sister that I wish I had
cursing death and man...

I weep with you sis...hang in there...it will ALWAYS hurt...but you will deal better year after year...

Love you...

I was already to throw out a smart arse reply: "Hey, not all their albums can be classic!"

Then I read th' poem, and felt humbled, saddened, and full of joy that you are a poet of such high order. God I love yr stuff.

Much love.

I've had a few strange internal days recently, doubting most everything.  This kinda got it into words.  What is beautiful, lasting today...tomorrow?  Damn, I hope this mood passes soon...lol.
