To Lori-Anne Hager on our second year together, as well as six years of friendship The sea-sky of your eyes. The subtlety of your lips. The dark wine of your hair. I am your flare. The soft notes of your sighs. The dark storm of your pain. The elegy of your tears. No need of fears. The red bloom of our song. The white sun of our heat. The bright moon of our care. Forever there. In love of you upon this verse. These words without a sole rehearse. To let them stand without crutch. As will we. In lingered touch. These smiling eyes are just a mirror for the sun. |
