The Taste of Toes

Perfection is lost in me.
My astrological sign says
I posses it.
Certain times,
Foot in mouth times
I just lose it.

Sometimes,
I think it’s in my red, painted toes.
Lingering. for the opportunity
for my profound insertion of
Those toes
to slide between
my lips,
Showing me the extent
of imperfections
That have found their way out
Of my journeyed lips.

I’m lucky these lips
Don’t pretend to be
Thin
Like a gossip’s.
I could never keep foolishness in
Or stop from biting
my foot.

Feet don’t taste good,
And I can’t tell
If perfection
Or imperfection
Tastes worse.

isn't it hard enough biting your fingers..hehe, challenging slant you have here...some suggestions? 'posses' should be possess and maybe the foot at the end should be feet like in biting your feet, think that sounds better..after all we bite our fingernails/nails not fingernail/nail.

(big huggsssssss) Oh Elizabeth, I believe no one is perfect and so trying to strive for perfection I feel is worse than knowing imperfection! (sigh) This is very well-expressed, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!
