Myriad of Unkown Places

I thirst for a cup of the life
You pour from golden pen
To silver chalice,
A sip, a taste, of what
You are and what you see,
To be absorbed into my bloodstream,
To revitalize me.

I wonder what it is that you do
Other than spread feasts of plenty
Before your hungry guests,
That they may fill up
On meats, fruits, cheeses-
And if there is room,
Chocolate mousse.

Once having partaken
Of such a generous repast,
Surely, like me, every guest
Is loathe to leave your warm table
And depart into the evening’s
Chilly air, and wish that they
Could pass the night.

I like this a lot. I have found my prince charming. Too bad he is all the way up in Canada.
