Stars abound in dark of distant space
void of air, a vacuum expanse
where only time and stardust race
as moonbeams shimmer in the dance

Streaks of brightness at speed of light
a chill to frost the warmest sigh
Comets,asteroids out in flight
beyond the view of naked eye

Planets and moons spinning around
Carousel of galactic ride
turning, churning past speed of sound
as moons in darkness try to hide

Leo, Mars, the Little Dipper
Constellations and Milky Way
All there to help a ship’s skipper
return to port, ready to play.

Time began with the Universe
as the Big Bang brought in the year
Astronomers mumbling soft curse
still waiting, listening to hear!

Magnus darling boy OH YES!! This is exceptional writing, utterly utterly brilliant. You knew I’d love this, the stars themselves will pause in their nightly dance to genuflect to you tonight, this is perfect. How can you write soooooo beautifully time after time? All I know is that you consistently amaze me with the power and the beauty of your words. YOU truly are the King of romance and wonder, No one does it like you darling boy no one.

Ahhhhhhhh and yes I love it utterly utterly love it. You guessed didn’t you? Mmmm subtlety was never my strong suit This is utter bliss, perfect darling heart utterly utterly perfect.

Stars abound in dark of distant space
void of air, a vacuum expanse
where only time and stardust race
as moonbeams shimmer in the dance

A carasoul of moon and stars
revolving round and round
in distant skies from afar
stardust falls gently to the ground

Your thoughts inspired me, hope you don't mind a poetic response   ...well done Magnus!!

somebodies brush
forgot to paint...

Mushy....be careful...you will make me grin
or blush...or both.... Thank You Darling
Girl!

GS...no problem....I enjoy it very much
when I have inspired someone with a little
stardust and a few moonbeams to go....

Barry, now THIS one has to be your finest...
I know...I already chose others before...
but that was before this one!
You see, I love carousels...
have a carousel horse myself...
and I am a Leo!
So I saw the title, started to read...
and...well, I JUST LOVE THIS!!
~Hugs~

Magnus~

You caught me on your carousel
Twirled me in your rhyme
Spun me through the galaxy
In finely metered time~

I chanced to grab a constellation
Of Seven Sisters in their glow
I have delighted in this ride
I wanted you to know~

Beautifully spun, poet~

Magnus...a wonderful exploration of the heavens..reminded me of the observatory and the awe I felt as a little girl my first time there.
