Inspiration

a gust of wind
a guttural nuance
suggestive of more
air to move the leaves
in  the  whirling  breeze
that calls men to open or
shut  their cloaks and
accept or reject the
confluence of the
influence of the
quiet word
spoken
that
I
watch
grow in the
telling to gale
force and ruffle
the dervish cycles
that dance to tunes
sung into a hurricane
that  in the end  sends
leaves, trees  and
planes scudding
across  our
landscape

and into our towers

for the power of an idea
insane jealousy and
religious fervor
and I watch
and weep

Hey B. What an intriguing write. It leaves me wondering if I am somehow missing something? The language was quite eloquent, and I thought the shape lent to the read...
(reads nicely aloud, btw) But it did end up somewhere quite unexpected for me. (I guess inspiration quite often does, hmmm?) Oh and if you don't mind me asking, was there further meaning implied in the shape? (Why am I typing like doreen? )

I did enjoy much. A compelling read, m'friend.

Astonishing insight. The flow reminded me of the endless strand of a braided gold bracelet...the kind of treasure that is art in itself and itself art. ThisDiamond.
