When Cold The March Winds Blow

~*Marge Tindal*~

When cold the March winds blow
across the chasms of recall
I reach for smiles-of-remember
from my angels of the fall~

Mother, Shari and Shelly
angels you were, all three
Birth-of-days come swimming 'round
always reminding me

So cold these days of winter
when still the March winds blow
Further from the distant longing
before you had to go~

Nothing do I feel
but this shearing, tearing wind
seeping into the heart
through the cracks where you've been

I gather your memories around me
snuggling deep-down inside
the comfort of the smiles you left
so these tears would not be cried~

And yet~
Tiny droplets fall
pressing your memory
once again into
the very heart of me

I would not want to forget you
for you are each worth remembering
smiles, tears and all~

And today I pray
that the smiles outnumber the tears
like you said they would

~*~
With such loving birth-of-day memories of
Mother-March 31,1925 - October 4, 1995
Sister Shari - March 8, 1944 - October 7, 1999
Shelly Barr - March 10, 1962 - November 22, 1984

Marge-
My sweetest friend...this is absolutely beautiful
and such a large piece of your heart.
You know I felt every word of this as I read.
Your angels will always be with you, and they
are smiling down on you now.
I love you~

What a poem you've written in your remembering! Lady, this is breathtakingly beautiful... your pen wrote with liquid gold.

Marge, this is the most beautiful poem I have ever read. The meaning, it tugged at my heart. Just beautiful. floria

I can see the angels are with you darling heart, for surely they are within ever star encrusted pen stroke of this utterly utterly beautiful poem of your heart.

Marge,
I know this one is from the heart....tears are coming like rivers here....i don't know if it is from the beauity of the poem, the sharing of the feelings or the remberance of my own loved ones that have passed away...or maybe a combination of all...the fact is this touched me...very deeply...

Auntie Margie girl this is such a beautifully written and heart speaking poem, it’s as if the soul is being teased by memories too precious to let go but to painful to hold in the forefront of memory. So you wrap it in your heart and there it stays. Always with you but not always in that place of pain. Wonderful poem my favourite aunt this is excellent writing

I wub you

*My friends~
Sometimes we must walk through the memories to know how blessed we are ... as I trudge through the difficult remember-days ... I also am comforted by knowing that I do not walk them alone ... with the warm outpouring of thoughts from each of you ... the going is made easier~

You all are such kind and considerate friends~
My life is fuller for having known each of you~

Vicky~
I just have to take a moment to give you another *hug* for the gentleness of your spirit that is always there for me (often before I even know I need you)~

You 'feel' my need, hear my tears and let me cry them freely ... while you hold me in your kindness and understanding ... giving unselfishly of yourself to comfort me~
I love you dearly ... may God keep you safe always~
*Hugs*
