(This poem was inspired by my dear friend Midnitesun's wonderful poem, "Aspen Wind Love Song"! You can find it here!

Walking Barefoot Among The Aspens
By: Noah Eaton
2/19/02

In the autumn breeze you come fluttering
Fluttering to me like a monarch butterfly
I run to you, my face flooding with tears of joy
Glimpsing your angelic face, into your loving arms I slide

Your eyes are as delicate as the Apple of Peru
You are the angel I'll hold from dusk to dawn
Your hair reflects the henna fires of heaven at sunrise
We'll make love forever in our bed of dreams among the meadow saffron

I can hear the frequency of cupid radio
Rustling in the apple cider gale
Whistling through my ears as you hold me tight
Shower me with kisses in these fevered mountains of leaves among the vale

Under the raspberry skies in this cupids hammock
We'll twitter to the trysts of robins
Rolling around together as lovers, beside waterfalls of kisses
Where the sparrows are angels, walking barefoot among the aspens

You know I like this one. And walking barefoot in the woods sounds wonderful, as long as it's in the summer. It's below zero here today, so I enjoyed this warm stroll.
Hugs to you, Noah.

Noah, I have seen those Aspens several times during the winter months over the years.  I have seen them covered with snow and it was 10 degrees below zero, but they were still beautiful.  Now walking barefoot would have to be put off until warmer weather, but it certainly sounds heavenly.  Wanda
