Hey Jesus
By: Noah Eaton
2/18/02

Hey Jesus...
It's me, one of your Singing Sparrows
I come to you to ask for guidance
I'm sorry if I have failed to notice you before
I'm sorry if I have stumbled among the black sheep
Please forgive me if I have ever caused you trouble

Hey Jesus...
Are you available today?
I apologize if I have interrupted you
But I need you so badly
I have been lying here underneath this acacia tree
It seems like Groundhog Day is an antithesis
I anxiously wait for the spring to come to the southland
I have been planting forget-me-nots for every broken heart
In the scourings of my youth
My throat is parched under the desert sun
Will I ever find...
Will I ever find my promisedland?

Hey Jesus...
It's just me
I only wish I could talk to you more often before
I could sure use a hug right now
I could sure use a shoulder to cry over
I could really use an adumbration
I have been on the run for greener pastures
I have been trying to hold off the undertow
I have been trying to build a birdhouse of promise
To harbor myself from the sorrow
To find a sancturay of inner-peace

Hey Jesus...
I ask of you for a favor
Will you be my savoir too?
I come to you with your friendship
I yearn to behold a coronation with my dreams
All I ask for is for your guidance
I just want to find a decent melody
I just want to be with the girl I love
Will you help me find my way to her
So I can have someone to hold forever
Someone to cuddle up with and dream with
Someone to lie beside all my life
So I can never again feel the coldness of my bed beside me
So I can be convinced I belong
I promise I will make up for what I've wasted
I will always claim to believe in you and your Father
I will always love you with all my heart
I will always bleed for you...

Hey Jesus...
Can you hear me?
Or will I have to wait until I die
To schedule an appointment with you?

Oh Noah, He hears you, all you need to do is what you just did. Knock on His door and believe He enters, and He does, and He stays forever dear friend. This is now, my most favorite of all the poems you have written. I know He will answer. God bless dear friend. floria

Oh, Noah, this is so beautiful. And sad. I tell you what, you can always lean on my shoulder when you feel like no one is listening.

Aw, Noah. I got a shoulder, too. And Jesus knows what you ask, even before you say it. And He just wants you to love God and show your love for others, as you have been doing. There is no magic. Just say ok, and thanks. There is nothing to promise! His Salvation is free.

We all love you, sweet Noah.

Noah. Remember how many people care, and listen, every day. You are never alone.

Noah... You Sweetie... You know He is always there listening ... and caring, never needing a promise from you only the faith that He is there.

Noah...You never need an appointment to come to Jesus.  All you need is FAITH.  He hears you, Noah.  The trouble is that we sometimes don't listen when He speaks. If you believe, you can ask anything in His name and you will receive it.  ***Ivy Rose

Noah, never lose this faith.  I've showed this to several people.  This is a wonderful poem of faith and pure honesty, never lost it, be bold,
speak it, live it, and you will always write wonderful, kind poetry, keep writing, Noah,
keep being YOU, honest..

Noah - this is one of the most heartfelt writings I have ever read. My word, this is beautiful in it's sadness of you. Noah, if you need to talk you know my email, and I'm on ICQ. Sometimes a friend can be of help...
Peace Noah, Jesus does hear you...

Noah; The Lord is always there waiting with open arms for us to come to Him in simple, childlike faith.  If we are willing to acknowledge our need, He is more then willing to receive us.  No appointment is necessary.  Though millions may call on Him at once, He still hears; and each one of us is important to Him. God has revealed Himself to us through His Son, the revealed Word and through His written Word.  To know Him, we need to get into the written Word.

You know I care for you, and you do have my e mail address.  I would be happy to chat more with you.  You are loved by a great many people; surely all the responses are evidence of that love.  Wanda

Noah, this is lovely sweet poet. How could the Lord not be listening to one of His angels here on earth? hugs, Chris
