Turn Back Is the love we have for each other, Strong enough to survive the pain, And turmoil my heart is going through, The answerless questions I have for you. and I know, I must know the reason, Why we let two lives take control, Why we let our feelings run away, Why I must let go again to find my soul. In my life, Lord, be glorified, In my heart and mind, be glorified. In my actions, Lord, be glorified. In our relationship, be glorified. I must turn back again as with you, Turning back not the hands of time, But even as we remain an open pair, We must take care where we place our own. Our love must be strong and pure, Enough to chase away the threatening breeze, That steals the joy we could be sharing, When we aren’t tempted with such ease. A note: I wrote this particular piece exactly 16 years ago today....for my first boyfriend.....who is now my husband.... We broke up on Valentines Day in 1986 because we were afraid of moving to fast in the wrong direction if you know what I mean.... Thanks to God, the internet, ICQ and determination we were reunited 13 years later and have been married now for over a year!!!! I have been waking up each day since we have been together again pinching myself just to make sure it isn't just a wonderful dream..... Happy Valentines Day Wilfred... I love you dearly and forever.... Your Wife, Sherry Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. |

Ah yes, I know very much how it is to be going way too fast in a relationship, and sometimes a break is just what some people need, as shown here, but after 13 years, being reunited is truly awesome. I loved this write, good job. Randy Meador a life lived unexplored is a life not worth living. |
