The Shores of Alone

She walked into the room that night
and looked around hesitantly
there over by the fireplace
destiny waited patiently.

He rose and took her proffered hand
long had it been since they last met
shadows of life in focus now
returned to her-from heaven sent.

Twas not too late, she heard him say
for she had vistas yet unseen
He came to reassure her thus
to never let go of her dreams.

(sigh) Soooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I love the message in this! Sometimes our destinies take detours, but as long as we follow our dreams, we will always find a way around and find true happiness! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

nice iambic quatrameter.  The meters cadence combined with the movement in the poem work well in tandem.  Very sound and well written poem.

There are these moments when Destiny has to let itself be known.
You have a nice way of introducing him.
Great work!

I am so glad I didn't miss this.
Dreams are endless if we allow them to be.

Oh Sandra, I loved reading your words.

If only it could be this easy. I want my destiny to take a detour like this!!! I love the thoughts here, and the way you’ve written them Sandra.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
