“THREE IN THE MORNING”
By

It’s three in the morning,
what am I doing here
reading all these poems,
from this sitting chair…

Replying to this one
and that one over there,
heck there’s writings,
most everywhere…

But it’s time to stop writing
words for this poem,
and get back to reading,
those which are awesome…

I can't sleep either---smiling...still looking for that perfect lullabye that feels like a warm poetic hug...waiting for the pillow to WELCOME me for once!

Thank you...it's a little less lonely now.

Bill,
I love it when you can't sleep you write so soft and low it's like a cradle gently  rocking. Close your eyes, lean back and relax soon reality will mingle with dreams, soft and low like a cradle rocking and before you know it morning will come with the sun clad in gladness.
Keth.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

I know the feeling, Bill. I was up most of the night too. Good writing while half asleep

At 3 in the morning,
my mind was at ease
finally, peacefully,
no one to please...
words never fail me,
understanding leaves much,
but your words always find
their softness in touch.

Bill darling boy this is utterly utterly excellent, and I bet you're tired out now, aren't you?

So soft and dreamy is this, absolutely wonderful writing

Go to sleep my poet friend rest your weary eyes
While you sit tiredly you’re missing sleeps surprise
Your bed calls out to you come lay down in me
And I’ll waft you to slumber to wander dreamily
Come walk in vales of dreams witness marvels sight
Submit to sleeps invitation to drift in dreamers night
Don’t shun sleep’s delight or stay away too long
Give into dream’s desire and succumb to lullaby's song

Just in case you can't sleep later smile

Love and warm stuff
As always

Ok..the next time so many of us are up at 3 a.m., let's meet in an MSN chatroom (I created one last week). Just let me know and we'll chat until everyone gets sleepy (NOT that any of us is boring!!).. enjoyed the poem.

Gee...I'm going to start staying up all night...feel like I'm missing out on all the fun.  I think my muse is the only one who sleeps during the night.
Nice gentle write Bill.
Hugs, Nancy.
