A heart in a box
With an open lid
Breathes sunlight
And the hope of love.

With an open lid,
The heart is the same,
And the hope of love
Fills them both.

The heart is the same,
And ripe, fresh love
Fills them both
With susceptibility.

And ripe, fresh love,
Easily bruised
With susceptibility,
In time, turns jaded.

Easily bruised,
The open heart scars,
In time, turns jaded.
The lid slowly closes.

The open heart scars,
The heart in the box;
The lid slowly closes,
Locked up tight.

The heart in the box,
Inside wooden walls
Locked up tight
Begs the key.

Inside wooden walls,
The scarred heart strains,
Begs the key
To open the lock.

(sigh) Such yearning and sorrow fill these words, sweet friend, may the keeper of this lovers heart unlock this box and set this lovers heart free into heavenly bliss and rapture! (kiss on cheek) I love it, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet lady, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Thank you, Sue & Mistletoe Angel and Ivy Rose!  I've been doing a little studying.  My first attempt at something like this.  I like to try something different to keep my brain from going to mush.
