Winters Love Reflected

As I sit with thoughts of you,
Wind of howling, lovers blue
Think of me, of hearts on fire
Take this flame, take my desire
Hold me like the ground to snow
Not like loves gone long ago
When you dream take me along
When you sing, make me the song
Nuzzle deep into my skin
Take me to a new begin

As the snow falls to the ground
Hold me to this new love found
See the sky the stars shine bright
Hold me to that candle light
Ride with me on waves of love
Come with me soar to above
When the night seems oh so long
When the world seems oh so wrong
Take a love and hold it there
Take my love, enough to share

If the wave soars to a crest
And if the sun sets in the west
Know I gave my heart to you
Take it, hold it, keep it, do
As your heartbeat echoes near
I can feel its hold my dear
Hold my heart there next to yours
Gently hold as love it soars
Take this fairytale for two
Lovers dream for me and you

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

well this is lovely...in its cadence and in its imagery and especially in its devotion.
Someone is well inspired and all a glow
looks like a warm winter LOL
very cool poem poetess Tracey.

You're the hidden cost and the thing that's lost in everything I do.
Thats the way love is ... sky blue and black.

Wow ... this reflection is blinding!
Melts the snow from any heart gone cold.
I do hope your winters wish shines upon you!

Tracey, this is wonderful. I have felt these wishes myself. I hope yours all come to fruition. You did this poem beautifully.

Would it make any sense to say that your poetry gives me back moments that I'd thought stolen, gone forever?  Your heart, your talent...are rare.  Thanks, Trace for so often turning the wrong around and making the winter...warmer.

I'm not big on gushy verse, but you have one line here that I find extraordinarily good:

"Hold me like the ground to snow".

Bravo!

JM, thank you so much..yes, I was well inspired for this one

Craig, yes, we will see if the winter wishes come true. Love your blinding reflection line.

Sandra, I hope both our wishes come true. Tuesday brings a new year and I don’t think either of us will be sorry to see the old one go.

Ariana, thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate them greatly.

Seymour, from you, who write such incredible romantic verse…so glad you enjoyed this one

Noah, you are so sweet. Yes, lets hope both our dreams come true.

Duncan, yes, it would make very much sense.  And thank you for the times you have been there for me too. Do you think the warm winter we are having has anything to do with us??

Glenn, thank you so much for your comments. Glad you found something that hit you in it.

"When you sing, make me the song"

What a nice line and a very nice piece of writing too, my friend.  Enjoyed much, Tracey.

Wow... this is an amazing piece.  In addition to the fact that the technical side of this poem is flawless, the images that nostalgia that you conjure up in my mind are breathtaking.  Thank you for this trip down memory-lane.  I loved this...

Kacy, yes, a serious lovers dream. Remains to see whether dreams come true though

Larry, so, you were buying it were you? Lol. Nevermind, fairytales are so pretty though aren’t they? Think I’ll find myself one to live in one of these days.

Michael, yes, that was one of my favourite lines too. Thank you for reading my friend. And so glad you are still here.

Marie, thank you so much for those wonderful words. Glad it took you down memory lane. A big welcome to you, so nice to see new poets

Ivy Rose, I’m so glad you enjoyed this piece. And a big welcome to the forums to you.

Duncan, yes, I know. It only takes one to hold a dream, but it takes two to make a dream come true. Though, that makes me think of a song I know, “you’ve got to have a dream, if you don’t have a dream, how you going to have a dream come true”.

Nancy, I am so flattered by your comments. Thank you so much

Walker, thank you so much for reading. So glad you liked it

EagleOne, thank you for the wow, and for reading

Rex, I’m so glad you enjoyed it.

Michael, coming from such a talented poet, I value this praise very highly
