A State of Disarray

0 posted 2001-12-23 02:48 AM

Eyes rising from thought I saw him:
                                        the Laird.
Enchantingly still, he paced my soul
                                with eyes
in a bluer shade of heather.
Perched on his stead he waited,
for what I did not know.
                                Around him the evergreens
                                pointed arrows to the sky,
absent of needles at the base.
A plaid blew in the wind,
                                emerald,
the vivid hue in valleys under cloud.
                                As a compliment, emerald
                                        married to his eyes.
In the stare the air swirled
yet in the idleness of moment
                                        all was still.
                                His era was forgotten, while,
eternally, from mine, was this forest.
A ripple in the satin of life,
whispering to my eyes a sonnet in fantasy.
                                He is the ancient author
                                of this prophesy
                                        not I.

Thanks for reading Jamie.  This was just a fantasy I had whilst sitting in the forest and thinking of that line of my heritage.  I couldn't pull off the scottish burr to save my life!!!!

Ohmygawd!!  You just gave me goose bumps with this one!!!  As I read I could see the fjords, his eyes, and perhaps I caught a glimpse of Brigadoon....aye!
Beautifully done, with great imagery, and much appreciated by this lass.

(sigh) Oh my gosh, I too saw visions of Briagadoon reading this; I saw the movie for the first time after Startime requested it to me and it was so gorgeous. (smiles) Soooooo gorgeous, sweet friend, your words behold a world of beauty from fjord to sea. (big hugggsssss) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

What a line!

As a compliment,
      emerald married to his eyes...
