Regina,
I like the way you think and write!  Really enjoyed this one (I pretty much like them all, actually).
"She'd counted each tiny blue flower
                         while he was away"

Now there is an imaginative and "expansive" line!
Well done!

A very well told and beautiful story.
one thing-- did you mean "quiet horse"?

Gotta be mosey'n on down th' road now.. cya later.

There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar.

RWood~
Stunning !

'Shed counted each tiny blue flower
while he was away

Shed written down the number
Hiding it behind his picture
A sentiment of her devotion
and the kisses he now owed

hed pay the note in full
with many tender midnights
crossing each blue flower lonely
off the wall of her heart'

Regina ... this is exquisitely done~
I am *SIGHING* at the sheer imagery of thoughts~
*Hugs*

Thank goodness this was brought back. It is a work of art, Regina. The vivid imagery made me feel the breezes flapping that laundry, and I laughed at those clothespin grasshoppers. And the 'peeping' townspeople were friendly and happy, not lurking nasty voyeurs.  Sure glad I didn't miss this poem!
