I Am Thankful

I am thankful to God
for the life given me
with tests and trials all
to make me who I am

I am thankful for life
with its joys and sorrows
for the laughter and tears
and all the love I've known

I am thankful for eyes
to see all the beauties
of the earth around me
that I take joy therein

I am thankful for ears
to hear the singing birds
and the rushing waters
that soothe my heart and soul

I am thankful for words
read each day from poets
whose talent lights my life
giving me joy unbound

I am thankful for friends
both met and on a screen
who have touched me with love
sharing themselves freely

I am thankful for all
who have touched my heart deeply
as you share with me thoughts
and dreams that we hold dear

I am thankful this day
and all others that will come
for all that I now am
and all I will become

I wish you that each of these statements will

Karen,

This is so full of life and exuberance just like the feeling I get from "knowing" you through this screen. Can you imagine a room full of Passion Poets? Ha ha with a buffet of course, wouldn't that just be too much!
I'm thankful also for so much.
