Searching

Beyond my reach
the breath of today
surrounded by walls
and locked away
hides tomorrow
cringing in a corner
lost and alone
a grieving mourner

"Take me away,
I don't want to live ...
I don't want to cry,
I have nothing more to give."
Yesterdays pain
as bad as it seems
makes it impossible to face
tomorrow's dreams

But I am still here
with darkness lurking
to begin a new day
of blindly searching
for buried emotions
and lost horizons
Beyond my reach
I grasp for reasons

Take me as I am
whatever that may be
Love, Life, and Happiness
what can you give me?
My emptiness,
my questions, my sorrow
expect to be answered
by the breath of tomorrow

Unanswered questions often leave such an emptiness behind.........Your words have moved me, I relate all to well.  This is......wonderful writing.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

Another keeper. You have great style. The words seem to flow as easily as warm honey.  "As I am"...that's the way love should be, the purest form of LOVE....unconditional acceptance.

I understand this well, Craig. I like the power at the end, go ahead and demand what you need, maybe that's the way to go!

Thank you ladies
Your comments are
graciously
and deeply
touching.

Sometimes it is
hard to face
another day
after any loss

Those are the days
when tomorrows
always hide.
