Thank You for giving me birth in a free nation.
A nation where liberty and happiness are enjoyed.
A nation which allows me to express myself.
A nation that promotes equality, not suppression
A nation that prospers and grows strong..

Thank You for giving me good health.
For technology and services that prolong life.
For the benefit of employment.
For the gift of knowledge and learning.

Thank You for allowing me to enjoy life.
For the sight that allows me to see
For hearing that gives me the songs sung.
For my four limbs that I have to use.

Thank You for giving me my family
For my wife who loves me.
For my children who respect and listen to me.
For all of my kin who I have known and love.
For their health, being free of illness.

There is so much more, but I won’t go on.
I especially am thankful that I am  alive,
and that I have been allowed to thank you
one more time.  For only you know if it
might be my last Thank you.

Thank you for the brave souls who journeyed  forth
and found our nation, fought for our freedom,
spilled their precious blood...gave their lives

Thank You Lord...For giving us our Earth.
For the Heavens that lie before us.
For the sun that warms our home, helps
grow our crops.  Gives life to all creatures.

For without You or it, we would not be.
And we would have nothing to be thankful for.

(And thank you for all of my friends at Passions
where we share all of these words)

Denise...YES...we certainly do...even on days
when we don't feel so thankful..this day
helps us reflect and remember it all....
Give us the strength to never forget, to
always remember what we have, for we are
here for just a moment of what we have been
given... Thank You.
