As he held her tightly
she fought back the flow of tears
and she bit her lower lip
when he said "I love you dear."

With every touch of his hand
she wanted to pull away
the question to be answered
where had he been all day?

After a few days passed by
he asked "What was wrong with she?"
and when she finally spoke
she said "Did not my tears you see?"

He said "I never saw your tears,
I didn't know that you had cried."
Slowly a tear rolled down her face
"Sometimes tears are cried...
inside."

I really loved this. Sometimes it is difficult for us to tell our loved ones why we are hurting, but tolerance and understanding can overcome any amount of pain. I really enjoyed the write. *SMILE*

Oh Gentle Spirit ... this was so tender and beautifully composed. What a lovely phrase you've ended this piece with ... so very true. This is a gentle reminder to look beyond and see within. Much enjoyed!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Dear Somy~ smile...it's a beautiful day..you have beautiful ways, inside and out. And no one makes my ~somy cry, without a dot in the eye!!!   If I could I would. There is great pain when the inside rains. I'm here. Love and Hugs!

Sincerely,
Regina

There is so much truth to this.  Sometimes the tears cannot be seen, but you'd think that if they truly knew you they would surely see them.  So sad!

Gentle Spirit - so gentle you write of the tears hidden inside. Yes, they do hide there at times, but I wonder why they do not look, and see them...

That they are indeed and it takes a conscious effort to remove the blinders and see with the heart to actually notice them sometimes.  Beautifully expressed and the flow is wonderful.  Very much enjoyed as always.

How true, sometimes we cry on the inside, and can't understand how the other person can't see those tears. You've written it very well here.
