Step right up.. I'm takin bets.
on just how funny this thing gets.
Who will run away in fear?
That youngster Kev? Or Balladeer?

Who will win this dual of pens?
This fight between two poet friends.
Balladeer pays five to one,
most chose him, cause Kev's so young.

I won't bet, cause I can't choose
young or old, you just can't lose.
An old mans smooth and sweet as honey.
A young mans "The Energizer Bunny".

In my book Balladeer's the tops,
but I laugh when Kevin calls him pops.
I sit back, enjoy the fun,
Kev's got that big 'Deer on the run.

Remember me with a smile on your face, or please don't remember me at all.

I've got to go with Balladeer,
tho Kev is cute? I think it clear.
The deer is playing game of chess
allowing Kev face of finesse.
But like the master of the board--
Deer knows the king is the reward.
and so he watches moves, amused.
No intent, no way to lose.
Kev can dazzle with distract--
as deer grazes with his tact.
With due grace, the deer awaits,
until, with stealth he has check-mate...

(aren't ya'll proud of me? I didn't mention the word rack ONCE....er...twice..heh heh

)
